Our Story
A Legacy of Fine Art Publishing and Collecting
Founded in 1987 by Tim Martin, Hallmark Press, Inc. has established a longstanding presence in the fine art industry as a publisher and dealer of original works of art and limited editions.
For nearly four decades, Hallmark Press has been dedicated to representing exceptional artists, publishing distinctive works of art, and cultivating enduring relationships with collectors throughout the United States and internationally. Our history reflects a commitment to artistic excellence, professional integrity, and an appreciation for the creativity and craftsmanship that distinguish fine art.
A Distinguished Publishing Heritage
At the heart of Hallmark Press is a publishing tradition that extends well beyond the conventional role of an art gallery.
Throughout our history, we have collaborated directly with accomplished artists to develop and publish exclusive limited editions, overseeing the publishing process while preserving the artistic integrity of each original work.
Our publishing relationships have included artists such as Michael Godard, Barbara A. Wood, Danny Day, and others whose work has earned recognition among collectors. These collaborations have produced distinctive editions, many published exclusively by Hallmark Press and no longer available through traditional gallery channels.
As the original publisher of numerous limited editions, Hallmark Press offers collectors the opportunity to acquire artwork directly from its publishing source, supported by firsthand knowledge of its history, production, and provenance.
A Tradition of Fine Art Galleries
In addition to its publishing activities, Hallmark Press developed an established presence in the fine art gallery market, operating galleries in Scottsdale, Arizona; La Jolla, California; and Rancho Mirage, California.
These locations provided opportunities to introduce collectors to exceptional works of art, cultivate relationships with established and emerging artists, and present exclusive limited editions and original paintings in a professional gallery environment.
Over the years, our galleries hosted artist appearances, special exhibitions, and private collector events, creating opportunities for collectors to meet artists and gain a deeper appreciation for the creative process. Our presence in these art communities helped establish lasting relationships with artists and collectors throughout the country.
The knowledge, experience, and personal attention developed through these galleries remain fundamental to the Hallmark Press philosophy today.
An Exceptional Collection
Today, Hallmark Press offers a carefully curated collection of original paintings, limited editions, and collectible artwork representing decades of experience in the fine art industry.
Our collection includes works by Michael Godard, Yaacov Agam, Barbara A. Wood, Danny Day, Jim Davis, and other accomplished artists representing a broad range of artistic styles and traditions.
A significant portion of our inventory originates from our own publishing archives and longstanding relationships within the art community. Many of these works have been retained by Hallmark Press for years, providing collectors with access to artwork that may be difficult to obtain through conventional galleries or secondary-market dealers.
Our position as both publisher and dealer allows us to offer a distinctive perspective on the artwork we represent, particularly editions originally published under the Hallmark Press name. Each work is presented with an emphasis on authenticity, accurate representation, and available historical information regarding its creation and publication.
Our Commitment to Collectors
At Hallmark Press, we believe acquiring fine art represents more than a purchase. It is an opportunity to establish a lasting connection with an artist's creative vision.
Since our founding, our business philosophy has been guided by three fundamental principles: Authenticity. Integrity. Excellence.
We recognize that trust is essential to the relationship between an art dealer and a collector. Whether offering an original painting, an exclusive limited edition, or a rare work from our publishing archives, our commitment is to provide accurate information, knowledgeable guidance, and professional service throughout the acquisition process.
We take particular pride in the relationships developed over the years and in the confidence collectors have placed in Hallmark Press.
Continuing the Tradition
Today, our online gallery represents a continuation of that heritage, bringing together decades of publishing experience, established artist relationships, and a carefully maintained collection of original and limited-edition artwork.
We invite you to explore our collection and discover works distinguished by their artistic merit, craftsmanship, and history. Whether you are an experienced collector or acquiring your first significant work of art, we welcome the opportunity to assist you.
