ABOUT CAL RIPKEN JR.
Known as baseball's “Iron Man,” Cal Ripken Jr. spent his entire 21-season Major League career with the Baltimore Orioles. He recorded 3,184 hits and 431 home runs, was a 19-time All-Star and twice named American League MVP.
Ripken is best remembered for playing an incredible 2,632 consecutive games, breaking Lou Gehrig's longstanding record. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.
